Índice de Sentimiento Económico

Resumen
Esta investigación desarrolla un índice de sentimiento económico (ISE) para Ecuador a partir de noticias económicas diarias publicadas en plataformas web nacionales, cubriendo el periodo de 2019 a 2025. El indicador se genera mediante un proceso reproducible que aplica modelos de análisis de sentimiento en español, combinando enfoques léxicos y de aprendizaje profundo. Los resultados muestran que el modelo PySentimiento presenta el mejor desempeño y que el ISE mantiene correlaciones significativas con los principales indicadores de confianza, expectativas empresariales y actividad económica. El estudio resalta el valor del análisis de noticias como herramienta de alta frecuencia y bajo costo para el seguimiento macroeconómico en economías emergentes.
