About the Journal

OVERVIEW

Cuestiones Económicas is the emblematic academic publication of the Central Bank of Ecuador. As the economic Journal of the Central Bank, the publication is aimed at academics, policy makers, professionals and students of themes relating principally to money, central banking, fiscal policy, monetary policy, foreign sector policy and other aspects inherent to the influence of currency management on economic outcomes. However, given the plurality with which the authorities and the editorial committee have designed the journal, the spectrum of topics that are deemed appropriate for the publication extends throughout the entire scope of the social and economic sciences.

OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE

While the Journals seeks to be an academic reference on issues related to money, central banking, fiscal policy, monetary policy, and other aspects inherent to the influence of currency management on economic outcomes, Cuestiones Económicas accepts a wide spectrum of specializations within the area of economics. It actively seeks to incorporate new approaches that renew economic thinking and promote the improvement the economic discipline nationally.

RESEARCH LINES OF THE JOURNAL

The articles published address issues of public and social interest that contribute to the economic development of the country and the region. We consider articles on a broad spectrum of economic science, however, priority will be given to topics related to macroeconomic, monetary and financial policy.. Cuestiones Económicas considers for publication diverse topics such as:

FRECUENCY OF PUBLICATION

The journal Cuestiones Económicas is published on a semiannual basis, with two issues per year. These issues are released in June and December
