Aims and scope

Cuestiones Económicas is an academic journal of Economic Science of the Central Bank of Ecuador, the earliest and most emblematic of the country. Since 1979 we have contributed with academic publications relevant to the economic development of Ecuador and Latin America with the highest academic standards. Our editorial team is made up of internationally renowned academics in the economic, monetary and financial disciplines, who guarantee the highest theoretical and methodological quality of the articles
published.

The main mission of Cuestiones Económicas is to encourage and disseminate theoretical and empirical research in the economic, monetary and financial disciplines that meet the highest academic standards.

 

Lines of research

The articles published address issues of public and social interest that contribute to the economic development of the country and the region. We consider articles on a broad spectrum of economic science, however, priority will be given to topics related to macroeconomic, monetary and financial policy.

 

Periodicity

Two issues per year, in June and December.
